Every Memorial Day, Americans pause to remember the brave men and women who served our country with courage, sacrifice, and honor. For many families, this holiday is not simply the unofficial start of summer; it is deeply personal.
For me, it is personal.
I come from a family of service. Three of my siblings proudly served in the military, and I have seen firsthand the strength, discipline, and sacrifice that service requires. One of my brothers served as a paratrooper, carrying not only the physical demands of that role but also the lasting impact it had on his body over time.
Years later, the progression of severe back injuries led to an extremely invasive surgery that he ultimately could not fully recover from. Losing him changed my family forever. His sacrifice did not end when he left active duty. Like many veterans, the effects of service followed him long after the uniform came off.
This Memorial Day, I honor him.
I also honor the countless veterans who continue serving their communities in different ways after military life, including many within the notary profession. Across the country, veterans have built careers as notaries public, signing agents, court reporters, and business owners. Their integrity, attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to serve make them a natural fit for this work.
Many people may not realize just how many veterans are part of the notary industry. Behind loan signings, legal documents, court proceedings, and small business services are individuals who once served our nation in uniform and who still serve others every single day.
At The Notary Hub, Memorial Day is more than a holiday. It is a reminder that freedom carries a cost and that many families carry stories of sacrifice that are unseen by the public.
To all veterans, military families, and those remembering loved ones this Memorial Day: your sacrifice matters, your stories matter, and your service will never be forgotten.
From our family to yours, thank you.
